I like the idea behind the Pomodoro Technique, but too many mini-breaks might make me wander. One trick I use frequently: I write at different places throughout my home. I have an office space with a traditional desk, an iPad so I can wander around to a comfy spot, and a place I can stand and write. When I feel like I’m offtrack–losing a bit of my forward momentum–I shift locations.
